What people say

"The National Palace of Sintra, also known as Palácio da Vila, was one of the palaces used by the Portuguese Royal Family practically until the end of the Monarchy, in 1910. Urban implantation, its construction began in the 15th century, with traces of an unknown author. It presents features of medieval, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and Romantic architecture. It is considered an example of organic architecture, a set of apparently separate bodies, but which are part of a whole linked to each other, through courtyards, stairs, corridors and galleries. It has the largest set of Mudéjar tiles in the country. It is dominated by two large twin chimneys that crown the kitchen and constitute the "ex-libris" of Sintra."

"This was one of our all time favorite tours and we tell all of our family and friends this is a must do while in Portugal. Sintra is stunning and the guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. Take the train from Lisbon to Sintra to meet up with your guides and enjoy a very fun day through Sintra, a locals lunch spot, then to a secret, beautiful lookout, and finally ending in the beach town of Cascais.
