The church was built between 1728 and 1730 by the French architect Antoine Dérizet. It is a Baroque church with a single nave and a dome. The interior of the church is decorated with paintings and sculptures by some of the most important artists of the 18th century, including Pierre-Paul Rubens, Guido Reni, and Carlo Maratta."
