St. John the Baptist Chapel

"The Church of John the Baptist, located in the Nevşehir Çavuşin region of Cappadocia, stands out as one of the oldest and largest churches in the area. Architecturally, the Church of John the Baptist features a single apse and a square plan, having served as a monastery church. Its location atop Çavuşin Castle necessitates a bit of a climb for visitors, who can take a path on the right side of the castle and follow the stairs to the summit. Once there, arrows guide them to the church, where they can admire the surviving frescoes that have withstood centuries.
