The Flatiron Building is one of the city's most iconic skyscrapers. Completed in 1902, it was one of the tallest buildings in the city at the time of its construction and is renowned for its distinctive triangular shape, which resembles the flatirons used by tailors. Designed by architect Daniel Burnham, the building's innovative design features a steel skeleton frame and a limestone facade adorned with intricate Beaux-Arts details. The Flatiron Building has become a symbol of New York City's architectural heritage and is a popular subject for photographers and artists. Its prime location at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Broadway makes it a prominent landmark in the cityscape. Today, the Flatiron Building is home to offices, retail spaces, and restaurants, and continues to attract visitors who come to admire its unique architecture and historical significance.

"The Flatiron Building is a 22-story triangular building located in the homonymous Flatiron District in Manhattan. The building was among the first skyscrapers in New York, its construction was completed in 1902.
This building was born, on a plot that resulted from the urban grid system imposed in 1811, in the form of some residual spaces that are usually too small or difficult to develop. However, the triangular residual space created by the intersections of 5th Ave., Broadway, and 23rd street created one of the most recognizable and famous buildings in the discipline of architecture.
At the time of construction, the building was named Fuller, after George A. Fuller, known as the inventor of skyscrapers. The building combines the Beaux-Arts style with Renaissance and Neo-Renaissance architecture. The Flatiron Building is and will continue to be an innovative architectural statement, remarkable for the beginning of the 20th century, which still rules the NYC skyline today."

"Iconic and outstanding building in the shape of a triangle, a flatiron, hence the name.
The construction was completed in 1902 and back then, with its 20 floors, it counted to one of the highest buildings in NYC, nowadays being one of the most iconic "skyscrapers" in the world."
