Nally Preseault
"Água de Pau (Water of Wood) is a small town along the south coast of São Miguel. The center of town--with its narrow streets, colorful houses, and water fountains--sits just 10 miles outside of Ponta Delgada. Its hilltop Nossa Senhora dos Anjos (Hermitage of Nossa Senhora dos Anjos) was, most likely, the first church built in the Azores. On the northern edge of Água de Pau, you'll also find Janela do Inferno, a nature preserve with great hiking trails."
