Nally Preseault
"Trenta is a small town (the population hovers around 100 people) in northwest Slovenia. It's part of the Julian Alps, the Trenta Valley, and Triglav National Park. The Vršič Pass also ends here.
Trenta was settled in the 14th century. It soon became an iron-mining village. A Baroque church, Our Lady of Loreto, was dedicated to the miners when it was built in 1690. As mining faded, tourism took over Trenta. It's now home to the Triglav National Park Information Center and the Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden."
