Cirkus

"Cirkus, also known as Cirkus Arena och Restaurang AB, is an iconic venue located in Djurgården, Stockholm, with a seating capacity of 1,650 people. Originally established as a circus, it was officially named Cirkusteatern, but today it primarily hosts concerts and musical performances. The history of Cirkus dates back to the early 19th century when French circus performer Didier Gautier, who became a Swedish citizen in 1830, received permission to construct a permanent circus building on Djurgården. In 1869, Gautier sold his circus, known as Didier Gautiers menagerie, to Adèle Houcke. Unfortunately, the original building suffered a fire, leading to its reconstruction in 1892, resulting in the Cirkus we see today, known as Djurgårdscircus. This venue has since become a beloved cultural landmark, offering a diverse array of entertainment options to visitors in Stockholm."
