"One of my favorite places in Costa Rica!
If you want to hike in Monteverde, I recommend doing the trail in Tigre Waterfalls, located 30 minutes driving from Santa Elena, as it offers a beautiful and wild landscape of the Costa Rican rainforest and waterfalls.
There is an entrance fee to do the hiking trail of $30 approx. (including transportation). From my experience, I consider it more worth it than the hanging bridges and the Cloud Forest Reserve. Actually, as you can see in one of the pictures, the trail has hanging bridges, too, which are really beautiful (but they move from side to side so bare that in mind if you have vertigo).
❗EVA'S TIP: go the earliest you can in the morning, like at 8am, so you can be practically alone
This is my favorite place in Monteverde (among the ones I saw).
