What people say

"Ribeira, on the banks of the Duoro river, is the most picturesque and tourist district of Porto. This district, made up of a labyrinth of narrow streets overlooked by colorful houses decorated with azulejos, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here you can find many typical pubs and restaurants, souvenir shops and small shops. Along the river you will notice the typical boats that transport the barrels of wine from the cellars to their destination. 👣How to get there: Metro stop: São Bento, line D(yellow)."

"After lunch, take a leisurely stroll through the Ribeira district, Porto’s historic riverside quarter. With its narrow cobbled streets, colorful houses, and vibrant atmosphere, Ribeira offers endless opportunities for exploration. Don’t miss the chance to walk along the Cais da Ribeira and snap a photo of the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge."
"Its colourful and wonderfully decorated façades are noteworthy and you’ll find that both the quaint terraced houses on the waterfront that reflect on the Douro River (which you can get a better view from Gaia) and the rest of the buildings further up in the little winding streets are equally pleasant.
