What people say

"The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania was once the political, diplomatic, administrative and cultural center of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Located in the Lower Castle in Vilnius, Lithuania, it was originally constructed in the 15th century for the rulers of the Grand Duchy and the future Kings of Poland. The palace evolved over the years and prospered during the 16th and mid-17th centuries. Unfortunately, the palace fell into ruin over the centuries. In the 19th century, the ruins of the palace were incorporated into the construction of the new defensive complex of the Vilnius Governorate. In the 20th century, archaeological research began, and after Lithuania regained independence in 1991, a full-scale reconstruction of the palace was launched."
