Welcome to our guide to the stunning city of Granada. We spent 72 hours in Granada in September 2023 and instantly fell in love with its incredible Moorish architecture, endless sunshine and tapas culture. In this guide you will find a run down on what to see, the best viewpoints and our favourite tapas spots we discovered during our time in the city, plus some highly recommended spots we didn't manage to make it to, because 72 hours just isn’t enough time in this gem of a city! Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.
