"Badlands Loop Road (SD 240) is the perfect way to see the North Unit of Badlands National Park. This two-lane paved road is appropriate for all motor vehicles, but it does include a few steep passes so drive carefully. Badlands Loop Road features a number of overlooks and pull-offs to park safely and enjoy the view. "When staying at dispersed camp sites, the addresses can sometimes be tricky. When exiting the highway and driving through town to SD 240, keep an eye out for an open cattle gate with rvs, cars, and tents set up on the hillside.
