Nally Preseault
"Boat tours. Seafood restaurants. Seaplanes. Yachts. These are all things you expect to find around Hobart's Franklin Wharf. A Steam Crane? Not so much. But there's an all-white crane in front of Constitution Dock. The steam-powered crane was made in the UK and brought to Tasmania in 1899. It was used to load apples, then a major export, onto boats. When it was decommissioned in the 1960s, the crane was moved to the dock's entrance. An odd, yet widely photographed, historical landmark."
