"Polite Provisions is a great neighborhood bar that is big without showing off. They're owned by Consortium Holdings which has taken San Diego by storm over the last 15 years with trendy and hip restaurants and bars, each with their own spin.
Polite Provisions' time to shine is during the holidays. They literally close down for an entire day before Christmas and do a complete remodel and decoration of their bar. Christmas Trees and tinsel adorn their bar, they feature holiday-themed cocktails, and a festive time is to be had by all.
Their cocktails are great and within the $12-15 range and you'd be hard-pressed to find a San Diego native that hasn't at least visited this place once and place it in their Top 10 list. "

"One of the first bars to kick off the craft cocktail scene in San Diego. Polite Provisions is located at the very top of the 30th St. bar scene.
This incredibly popular bar can sometimes be hard to get into but show up for an early happy hour mid week and you'll probably be able to get in.
We highly recommend going to their sister restaurant, fortunate Son for some amazing Chinese before.
