"Azulik is one of the most famous hotels in Tulum. It is for its unique architecture and “nests” above the jungle. Azulik is not cheap and is open for non-guests if you would like to go for a meal at the famous restaurant Tseen Ja. If this is something you would like to do, I would advise reserving a table especially if you would like to sit in a bamboo nest above the trees. This is certainly a unique experience. I chose to treat myself and stay at the hotel to have the full Azulik experience. Staying at the hotel gives you access to guest only areas such as the private beach, spa, relaxation areas and art galleries. As I said it isn’t a cheap place to stay but I think it’s worth the unique experience of staying in a bamboo hut in the Mayan Jungle. As you enter they will give you a safe cleansing experience and their “angels” will give you a tour through the hotel whilst your bags get taken to your room. They offer a range of different rooms with different views, all rooms are beautiful and they will go the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. It is important to note that they focus on sustainability, and want you to disconnect from the outside world so internet is limited and the rooms don’t have showers, but baths instead as they believe that people are more mindful when they take a bath instead of a shower. Most rooms also don’t have air conditioning but a fan instead, so when making a booking if you would like air conditioning, I would mention this to them. During your stay you have breakfast included and a free drink in a nest at Tseen Ja for an evening of your choice. The hotel offers activities too such as pottery classes, weaving classes, yoga, they have a spa with a large selection of treatments and guests can also have unlimited access to their famous art gallery Sfer Ik, which public can access but hotel guests can access in a private time too. Despite being so expensive it is a very unique experience and would be great to celebrate a special occasion and treat yourself! "

"Azulik Tulum is a luxury eco-friendly resort renowned for its unique treehouse villas. Each villa offers panoramic views of the jungle and ocean, with rustic, hand-crafted furnishings and no electricity, encouraging guests to disconnect. Amenities include private decks, Mayan-inspired spa services, and an artisan boutique. Insider tip: Request a villa with a private plunge pool for an extra touch of luxury. "
"Check out what activities Azulik offers - they often run wellness mornings or afternoons, cocoa ceremonies or socials. I have heard mixed reviews about staying there but the atmosphere for a day trip or activity or even having lunch or dinner in their restaurant is a great way to see the world renowned architecture and soak up the natural wellness vibes.
