Banaras is considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world and the abode of the Hindu God -- Shiva. In ancient texts, it has been referred to as Kashi. In the present times, it is also known as Varanasi. In Hinduism, it is even considered that only the fortunate ones get to visit the city. It is a highly spiritual place which I was lucky enough to visit. Because it was not just another trip, but an experience I will remember forever!
