Maria Island

"Maria Island is a small island located off the east coast of Tasmania, and I hadn't even considered it when making my travel plans. A girl I met at the airport recommended it, so I included it in my itinerary, albeit somewhat reluctantly. Indeed, the ferries to get there are not cheap, and they don't have convenient schedules. For a half-hour round trip, it costs $52. We took the ferry at 11:30 and returned at 2:30, and the hours were enough to do two walks: Fossil Track and Painted Cliffs Track. There is nothing on the island except nature and animals. This means that water, lunch, snacks, or anything else must be brought from the mainland. The feeling of being in a movie, immersed in the greenery and sounds of nature, is priceless, though."
