What people say

"The attraction you are referring to is an agrotourism destination located on Den Ha-Dong Mada Road in the Mae Korn subdistrict, just 6 kilometers from the famous Wat Rong Khun. Covering over 3,162 acres, this expansive site offers visitors a blend of agricultural experiences, tea plantations, and stunning natural landscapes. One of the highlights of the area, particularly in the winter, is the vast field of cosmos flowers that bloom beautifully across the landscape. Additionally, visitors can explore jute fields and enjoy the seasonal fruits such as strawberries and jujubes, with the opportunity to taste fresh strawberries. The farm also produces a variety of special teas, carefully crafted from the crops grown on-site. For a more immersive experience, the farm offers a tram service that takes visitors on a one-hour tour, providing close-up views of the farm's diverse agricultural areas and wildlife, including giraffes and zebras. The tram operates every 30 minutes between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with a fare of 150 baht. Guests can also enjoy bike rentals and cycling activities throughout the farm. For those seeking an adventure, a 360-degree zipline tour offers a unique aerial view of the tea plantations, making it an exciting way to explore this beautiful agrotourism site."
"Very weird but intriguing mix of petting zoo, park, giraffes, tea plantation and rides. Entry fee of 150 bath"
"Farmlike park with tea plantation, restaurants, and a petting zoo"

Chiang Rai, located in the northernmost part of Thailand, offers a unique blend of rich cultural heritage and modern developments that reflect both its traditional roots and a growing tourist appeal. The city is renowned for its striking temples, such as the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), an extraordinary modern Buddhist temple designed by local artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, which combines traditional Thai architecture with contemporary artistic elements. The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) and the Black House (Baan Dam Museum) further showcase the creativity and innovation present in Chiang Rai's art scene. Alongside these architectural wonders, the city offers beautiful natural landscapes, with lush tea plantations, serene rivers, and hill tribe villages that connect visitors to the heart of northern Thailand’s rural life. Chiang Rai’s growing culinary scene, with its mix of local Thai flavors and international influences, makes it an emerging food destination. In late 2024 I finally went for the backpacking trip I was planning since 2020 - month in Thailand. And it was magical. From paradise beaches to jungle hikes and Buddhist temples Thailand has so much to offer I'm already looking forward to coming back. But I'm a backpacker that does try to make dollar stretch. I love traveling and spend months at the time on the road and budgeting definitely helps. In this guide I'll share with you my itinerary, sharing all places I stayed, all trains I took, all lessons I learned and all the costs so you can plan your perfect trip and not break the bank. My final cost for 26 days was 454€, and that includes everything from accommodation to transport, food and activities (except international flights and diving). I'll share with you exactly what those costs were and how you can replicate this budget trip. The trip was originally planner as solo trip but a friend joined me in the end. However its 100% suitable for single traveller or pair and I would also recommend it for solo female travellers. What you'll find in the guide ✔️day to day itinerary ✔️public transport information both local and long distance ✔️accommodation recommendations based on places I stayed ✔️activities to do ✔️restaurant recommendations (vegetarian) ✔️all helpful tips and tricks I learned along the way (food, money, drinking water, hidden fees and more)
