"A serene space overlooking the East Sea, Oeosa offers beautiful ocean views paired with traditional temple architecture. The name of this temple directly translates to ‘My Fish Temple’, which stems from an amusing story of 2 monks that both claimed to be individually responsible for reviving a fish. A visit here will allow you to see a picturesque temple surrounded by lush greenery, a lake, and uniquely shaped cliffs. In addition to the natural beauty is the Bronze Bell of Oeosa Temple inside the temple museum, and Daeung-jeon Hall with its Shimu-do (Ox-Herding Murals). This temple is an ideal place to experience the tranquility and more laid-back charms of Pohang. If you’re lucky to visit Korea during autumn (September to November) make sure to visit this temple to see the stunning autumn foliage with all the red, orange, and yellow leaves."
