"Grand Prismatic Hot Spring: 1.5 miles (easy)
The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring in the Midway Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park is the largest hot spring in the United States. It makes for a worthwhile stop to see for yourself the surreal colors and enormous size in person.
Best to go in the afternoon, when there are warmer temperatures and less steam to block your view.
For a closer view, try the Midway Geyser Basin trail (0.7 miles)."

"The largest hot spring in Yellowstone is a must visit. Go early in the morning or late in the evening. This is one of the most popular places in the park, and the parking area is too small. Another option, and one I would recommend, is to go to the viewpoint from up above Grand Prismatic. You can get there by hiking a short distance on the Fairy Falls trail. "
