What people say

"Amagertorv (French: Amager Square) is a square located in the center of Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark. Amagertorv is located in the historic town center of Indre By. It is often considered the central square of Copenhagen. After Gammeltorv, it is in any case one of the oldest squares in the city. It owes its name to the nearby island of Amager, whose farmers in the Middle Ages came to town to sell their products on this site. Since 1962 it has been a pedestrian zone, which today is an integral part of the main pedestrian route of the Danish capital, Strøget."
