While its neighbor Croatia gets a lot of attention among world travelers, Montenegro is a personal favorite of the places I've traveled to over the years! My husband and I were looking at places to go for our anniversary one day, hoping for a mix of what we both love when we travel. He's an outdoor adventure fanatic, looking for any and every opportunity to commune with the clouds. Our first stop in Montenegro, Tivat was a pleasant surprise with its beautiful port and town steeped in History. Tivat has one of the two major airports in Montenegro and provides a great quick short stop before heading to Kotor!
