"The famous Suyeon Sanbang is a very quiet and luxurious hanok cafe in Seongbuk-dong. This place is also known as "Lee Tae-jun's House". Novelist Lee Tae-jun, who was active in the 1930s, wrote here for 13 years.
Suyeon Sanbang is a very old house built in 1933, and as time goes by, the beauty of this cafe seems to continue to grow.
Pictured above are sweet pumpkin shaved ice (13,500 won) and jujube tea (11,500 won), and Korean sweets were provided for free by the owner to try. Although the desserts are a little pricey, it's a great way to take a wonderful, relaxing break in an old hanok house.

"Sooyeon Sanbang is a traditional tea house in Seongbuk-dong, originally built during the Japanese colonial period. Once the hanok of literary figure Lee Taejun, it is now run by his granddaughter. The tea house offers traditional teas like daechucha (jujube tea) and ssanghwacha (medicinal herb tea), along with snacks such as injeolmi (bean-powder-coated rice cake). Its name, meaning "a house where literati gather in the mountains," reflects its serene and cultural ambiance "
