Amir Temur Mausoleum Gur-i Amir Сomplex

"The Amir Timur Mausoleum, known as the Gur-e Amir (end of the 14th century — 1405), is a monumental memorial located in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Commonly referred to as Gur-e Amir or Gur-e Mir (Mir Sayyid Baraka) among the locals, it serves as the final resting place for members of the Timurid dynasty, including Amir Timur himself, his mentor Mir Sayyid Baraka, his sons Umar Shaykh, Miranshah, and Shah Rukh, as well as other family members such as Muhammad Sultan and Ulugh Beg. The mausoleum's original structure, built in the 14th century, was subsequently reconstructed in the 15th century, resulting in its present form as a modest square building with a pyramidal dome. The interior, adorned with a large gravestone, retains a simple design, devoid of ornate decorations. Adjacent to the mausoleum, a ziaratkhana for worship rites and a large pond (khauz) surrounded by ancient plane trees provide a serene setting for pilgrims who visit to pray, seek solace, and seek assistance in their troubles, embodying the enduring reverence for Amir Timur and his legacy in the hearts of people from all over the world."
