Nally Preseault
"There's something besides black sand and volcanic rocks on the beach in Djúpalónssandur. At first, it looks like a piece of orange trash has washed ashore. Soon you see more rusty orange pieces. Some are exposed to the wind. Others are partially buried. But there are a lot of them. It's the remains of the Epine (GY7), a fishing trawler from Grimsby, England that wrecked in the cove on a cold night in March 1948. Though left out in the elements, the wreck is protected, so don't touch or move any of the pieces."
