"This is perhaps one of the most famous tourist attractions in Monte-Carlo. The Casino de Monte-Carlo has been featured in many famous movies such as James Bond and Ocean's Twelve.
Anyone can enter the casino building for free to have a look at the Atrium, the Café de la Rotonde and the Renaissance rooms for the slot machines.
The opening times are as follows:
- From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - last entry at 12:15: Casino de Monte-Carlo with or without an audio tour.
- From noon onwards: The Salon Rose Restaurant and the Atrium’s artistic attractions.
- From 2 PM: The gaming rooms (gaming tables and slot machines) and bars.
There is no dress code required for accessing the boutique, the artistic attractions in the Atrium, the the Café de la Rotonde and the Renaissance rooms for the slot machines. However, appropriate and respectful attire is always appreciated. "

"Important to know: There are certain opening times for casual visitors, generally between 10 AM - 1 PM (double check on the website before going).
There is a dress code of "smart attire". Don't look sloppy or they might turn you away. (i.e. beach attire - not OK.)
It costs 18€ to *enter* the casino game rooms. If you spend more than 40€, your ticket is refunded. When we went, we literally paid to get in, bought 1 drink, watched rich people gamble insane amounts of money, and then left when our drink was done! "

"The Grimaldi family had ongoing financial problems, but after 1848, when they stopped receiving tax payments from Menton and Roquebrune, things got even worse. Princess Caroline came up with the idea of opening a gambling casino in Monaco to save the Grimaldi family from bankruptcy.
If you are a James Bond fan, you should definitely pay a visit to this iconic location in the saga. But keep in mind that this is one of the most visited spots in Monaco, so the square in front may be crowded.
