"☀️ Best visit in the morning for good visibility and more calm condition.
🤿 There are two options for reaching Tanjung Jepun. You can either take the jungle trails (refer to the map) or rent a small boat from Padangbai. Personally, we prefer hiking the trails with local fishermen. If you decide to hike, it's important to wear shoes or reef shoes since the rocks can be sharp. You can enter the water by jumping off the rocks, but be cautious when climbing back up as there may be sea urchins in the crevices between the rocks.
🐠 Expect to see hard and soft corals, artificial reef. Coral cat shark, filefish, porcupine fish, nudibranchs, sea moth, slipper lobster, trigger fish, reef sharks, ghost pipe fish, sting rays, turtle, crocodile fish, frogfish.
🚫 Be careful with current shift. Don’t touch or harm the animals or the reef – you are in their habitat, protect and respect it.
👫🏾 Always swim, snorkeling/ freedive with a buddy. "
