"Wadi Ghub, also known as Wadi Wonka or Rainbow Mountain, is an adventure not meant for the fainthearted. It's important to note that this area is occasionally guarded by the military to ensure safety and control access. If you're seeking a true adrenaline-pumping experience, you can venture to this wadi alone. Alternatively, there are hiking groups that occasionally organize trips to Wadi Ghub, providing a safer option.
Be prepared for a challenging journey as Wadi Ghub doesn't have defined paths, and hiking often involves more climbing than traditional hiking. However, for those up for the challenge, it can be the most exhilarating and rewarding hike in the UAE. At the peak, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of Dibba in Oman, making the arduous journey worthwhile. Embrace the adventure, but remember to prioritize safety and be well-prepared for this demanding hiking experience in Wadi Ghub.

Wadi Ghub also known as Wadi

not a hike for the fainthearted.
Sometimes there is even military
protecting this area keeping
people from hiking it. If you are
up for a real adventure you can
head here alone or some hiking
groups also occassionally
organise hikes here (which is a
lot safer). There are no real paths
and most of the times its more
like climbing than hiking. But for
me this was the most fun (and
exhausting) hike I did in the UAE.
You'll be rewarded with a
beautiful view over Dibba (Oman)
from the peak. Actually this hike is located in Fujeirah and not in RAK, but it fitted better here in the row.

Please note that Wadi Ghub is actually located in Fujairah, not Ras Al Khaimah. However, it fits well in the context of the discussion. Embrace the adventure, ensure your safety, and relish the beautiful view that awaits you from the peak of Wadi Ghub.
