"On a busy road in Bangkok’s Samphanthawong neighbourhood, set over two floors within fine-dining restaurant Potong, lies Opium, a hidden speakeasy drawing on its local area of Chinatown as much as it does on New York’s drinking establishments. Named after the opium den that’s said to have previously occupied the space, these rooms are presumably more upmarket now, with a luxurious interior. The drinks offering revolves around the concept of “liquid surreality”, with an extensive, seasonal list divided into various categories, with various classics and twists."
