Kakum National Park

"This was a major reason I chose to visit Ghana back in 2003! Kakum National Park is home to the famous canopy walkway, where you can channel your inner Indiana Jones. It starts with a short but uphill hike (don’t worry, I managed it at my own pace) and then you’re up on a series of seven rope bridges, high above the forest canopy. The experience is incredible, and, yes, fun—if a little wobbly! If you’re unsure about heights, there’s a shorter route available, so no pressure to complete all the bridges. Pro tip: the bridge is surprisingly sturdy, but if a lot of people are on one section at the same time, it can feel a little bouncy. No need to worry, though. The sides are high enough that you’re not going to fall over the side like a Thuggee henchman. "
