What people say

"Distance: 4/6km Time: 2 hours Difficulty: Easy This is the easiest of the day hikes in El Chalten. We started with this one since we arrived in El Chalten mid-afternoon. It gave us a wonderful taste of the views to come and was perfect for the time we had that day. The short trail starts from the Visitor's Center just before the entrance to town. You should cross the bridge over the Fitz Roy River (the 2 hour time does include the walk from town). The trail is easy and well-market with informative plaques in both English and Spanish along the way about the region's famous birds. It's steadily uphill to the viewpoint but nothing too steep. The hike is named for the condors that fly from the Valle De Las Vueltas to Rio Fitz Roy. On a very windy day they are unlikely to be flying. You can add on the one additional kilometer to Mirador de las Aguilas. I highly recommend especially since you'll have done the majority of the uphill already! Mirador de los Condores is famous for its sunrise and sunset views. Unfortunately this is something I missed!"
