Since its founding, Alserkal Avenue has expanded significantly, particularly after 2012 when founder Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal initiated an enlargement project, doubling its area and adding new units and event spaces. In 2019, the Alserkal Arts Foundation was introduced to formalize its support for artistic initiatives, including a prestigious residency program and public art commissions.
