This was my personal first trip to New Orleans and my first time to the State of Louisiana (checking off state #44!) We tried to do a mix of standard tourist stops with a bit of local favorites as well. If you're not into super touristy things, then this guide is for you.

Molly's Rise and Shine

A great spot for a casual breakfast or lunch! With options for carnivores, vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free folks, this is a safe option for any group. My go-to is the classic biscuit sandwich (minus the sausage) and a side of their perfectly crispy hashbrowns!

Get there early, but don't stress too much about it. Although the line is known to pour out onto the street most days, they move pretty quickly to get people in and out.  

Great local breakfast, brunch and lunch spot located in the Garden District.
