"This is a must do (if time allows it) on a good weather day. You can book the excursion at your hotel/hostel or anywhere in Thamel; its about 4-5 hours (last time I did it) and its best if you manage to see the sunrise from there; I am really lazy and I could walk up there pretty easy, so is a good trekking for anyone. "
