"Chosen as the location for the film "Cyrano", directed by Joe Wright, the palace was built on the wishes of the Marquis of Castelluccio in Noto, Sicily (1782).
Consisting of a hundred rooms with noble volumes and hand-painted frescoes, inside you can find unique decorations and furnishings, recently restored by the French manufacturer Jean-Louis Remilleux, who worked hard to find all the elements that take you back in time, including grand dances and princely receptions, took a total of four years to complete the project.
While the neoclassical facade has no ornamentation, the opulent interior reveals walls covered with blue silk, impressive crystal chandeliers and a large number of other objects.
In the ballroom, in the chapel and in the small music room, the ornaments have been preserved, while on the outside, palm trees and bougainvillea frame a lush garden.
Emblematic of Sicilian splendor, Palazzo Castelluccio is open to visitors Tuesday-Sunday."
