What people say

"4 PM - Xochimilco is known for the brightly painted Trajinera boat tours, where you can have a fiesta with live music, food, and drinks as you float along the canals. You don't need advanced reservations for the boats, but make sure you only pay the price of the boat, NOT for each person. Typical cost is around $20-25 per hour for the whole boat, and you can negotiate. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy on the boat if you don't want to pay the higher prices on site. There are different tours available. We did the 1-hour basic tour through the Embarcadero Las Flores Nativitas since I had reached out to them in advance to ensure they had evening boats. "
"Bring peso coins to pay for items on the floating markets and for the bathrooms (approx. 10 pesos per person)! Would also recommend bringing your own toilet paper. You can buy Mexican street corn and other food items/drinks from floating vendors. We brought most of our own food and drink on board and bought more drinks as a supplement once we ran out. "
