What people say

"Another impossible-to-find terrace bar, Couleur Locale is nevertheless very popular among young locals, as it serves yummylicious cocktails and has one of the best views of the Acropolis in town. It’s found on the top floor of a seemingly abandoned building, on a small dodgy street of central Monastiraki. There’s a ground-floor service area too, but you only want to sit there if you can’t get a table on the terrace, really. If you feel like taking a break from drinking (we feel you), you can try going during the day - both bar levels operate as a cafe during the day, and the rooftop’s perfect for getting some of that good summer sun. Beware though! Couleur Locale is usually packed day and night on Fridays and weekends. Where to find it: Normanou 3, Athens Where to call: +30 216 7004917 When to visit: 10AM–2AM"
"Just walk through the vintage shops and old bookstores of Monastiraki and get on the elevator at the entrance to discover an immaculate view of the Acropolis in a laid-back setting. At Couleur Locale, you’ll find premium coffee, gourmet snacks, cocktails and, if you’re lucky, you might visit on a night with a live DJ set. Address: Normanou 3, Athina 105 55 Opening hours: Daily 10:00-02:00 Getting there: Line 3(blue): Metro Station Monastiraki "
"Hidden Speakeasy kind of vibe. You have to walk through and ally to get here and the building doesn't look like much but don' t be alarmed. Has the most incredible view of Acropolis at night. More of a laid back vibe with great house music. Prices are fairly cheap as well. "
