"There’s no better cultural experience to teach you about Korea’s history than this museum, which is conveniently located near Gyeongbok Palace. There are three main exhibition halls in this museum. The first one, called ‘History of Korean People’, is focused on displaying all sorts of everyday life materials in Korea dating all the way from prehistoric times to 1910. The second exhibition, named ‘The Korean Way of Life’, will show you how the life of a Korean villager in ancient times was like. The third exhibition, ‘Life Cycle of the Koreans’, centers on Confucianism and how this ideology has affected the life of Koreans in Korea."
"The National Folk Museum of Korea is a captivating cultural museum located right next to Gyeongbokgung Palace. It showcases the rich and diverse folk heritage of the country through its extensive collection of artifacts, exhibitions, and interactive displays, providing visitors with a deep understanding of traditional Korean life, customs, and beliefs. The changing exhibition right in the middle of the building is usually a breath taking digital showcase of korean folk tales and they often organize korean traditional performances in their small concert hall. And the best part: the entrance is completely free!"
"Located in central Seoul, the National Folk Museum of Korea educates visitors on Korean life from past to present. It investigates, researches, and collects artifacts related to Korean daily life. The museum has three permanent exhibition halls and an open-air exhibition area. Exhibitions cover Korean traditional daily life, annual customs, and life passages. Special exhibitions are held four times a year to deepen understanding of Korean folkways."
