What people say

"This is the largest, nicest sandy section of beach in Cinque Terre, which is located directly opposite the train station, in the new part of Monterosso. There's a small section of free beach here where you can lay your towel down for no cost, but this fills up quickly and becomes very crowded in summer. Get there early if you can OR you can choose from a few lidos on the left and the right sides. A lido is effectively a private/paid beach club. "

"In Monterosso, there are two long beaches with sand and pebbles, Fegina beach being the most famous one, in the new town. You have probably seen hundreds of photos of this beach, with the large rock in the sea and the green and orange umbrellas. Most of the area is private with lidos, sunbeds and parasols, so you have to pay for it. Bagni Eden is a local favourite, you can find it close to the rock."
"Monterosso al Mare is the only town of Cinque Terre with a beach! Note that it's mostly a pebble beach, so laying on a town may not be what you're used to. There's a free section where you can grab a spot or several beach clubs that are all about the same price for daily chairs. "
