"The Fontanelle Cemetery is located in the Sanitร neighborhood of Naples. It was originally created as a burial ground for victims of the plague in the 16th century. Later, it became a mass grave for the victims of other epidemics and wars. In the 17th century, the remains were moved to the underground caverns to make room for new burials. In the 19th century, the cemetery became a popular destination for pilgrims, who would come to pray for the souls of the dead. The bones are arranged in niches and nooks, and visitors can see the remains up close. It's definitely not for the faint of heart!"
