"Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria, after Sofia and one of the oldest cities on the continent, so much so that in 2019 it was named European capital of culture together with the Italian Matera. Plovdiv, the ancient Philippopolis, is truly a very pleasant city and deserves to be included in all travel itineraries in Bulgaria.
📍Distance: 156 km
👣How to get there: you can get there by taking a direct bus from Sofia central station to Plovdiv central station for the price of €8 (I recommend buying tickets from TrainLine). Or with an organized tour which however does not include the various entrance tickets to the attractions that you will visit. So I advise you to visit Plovdiv independently. In case you choose to participate I attach the link👇🏼
🎟️Ticket cost: if you choose to participate in an organized tour, consult the link below👇🏼"

"Plovdiv, one of Europe's oldest continuously inhabited cities, exudes an irresistible blend of ancient heritage and contemporary flair. Its well-preserved Old Town is a treasure trove of Roman ruins, Ottoman mosques, and Bulgarian Revival architecture. "
