Laura Dehelean
"Have breakfast here, even just for the experience itself! Caffè Florian is a coffee house situated in the Procuratie Nuove of Piazza San Marco, Venice. It was established in 1720 and is the oldest coffee house in continuous operation in Italy. The coffee itself is not the greatest one I’ve ever tasted, but the location and the service indeed make up for everything. You might be just lucky enough to have an orchestra band playing on the terrace (this implies an extra fee of 6€/pers. on your first order but still, it is worth the experience)."

"For a traditional Venetian experience, Caffè Florian in Piazza San Marco is an elegant choice. Opened in 1720, it’s one of the oldest coffee houses in Italy, and sipping a coffee here feels like stepping back in time. Order the classic Italian breakfast: espresso or cappuccino, served with a selection of pastries like brioche, biscotti, and cakes. Though slightly more expensive due to its location, the historic setting and charming ambiance make it worth the visit."

"Set in the heart of San Marco Square, Caffé Florian is legendary. This iconic slice of Venetian history has been a hallmark of royalty since 1720, attracting celebrities over the centuries, from Charlie Chaplin to Andy Warhol, and its décor hasn’t changed much since the 18th century. Try the risotto or, for something sweet, the gourmet chocolates, speciality coffees and ice-cold gelato. The patio is perfect in the summer. Just a tip, it is very pricey!"
