"1) Old Town fortress
Unlike most Old Towns in Montenegro, this one is not located by the sea but rather at the top of Mount Rumija which makes it look like a place from “One thousand and one nights” especially during golden hour. The entrance fee is €3.5 and map costs extra but it is not necessary.
The Fortess dates back to 11th century and you can climb the remaining staircase to see the magnificent panorama stretching all the way to Bar. You can also view the aqueduct from here.
2) Oldest Olive tree in Europe
Older than any manuscript in Bar this tree is under protection since 1963. Located in a small park with fee entry of €1 it is well worth a visit.
3) Waterfall Vrteljak
If you want to escape the crowds of Stari Bar then just turn right after leaving the Fortress and follow the marked path that will take you to a little oasis. The path is marked with red dots and very easy to follow. It is uphill for a bit so pace yourself. Once you leave the village behind you will walk on one of the most beautiful roads with amazing rocks on the left, river on the left and mountains in the front. Those rocks are very popular with climbers.
When you get to the bridge you will see the path dividing in two directions: you want to follow straight ahead. There will be a signpost with Waterfall on it. Just follow the road till you get to a beautiful house under construction. Follow the path on the left and you will see a fence on the right. Just walk through and walk all the way till you see a small cafe with wooden patio. Viola!

"Old Bar is completely out of core of Bar city. You are passing by it on road from Ulcinj to Bar. It is enough to reserve around 2h for Old Bar (Stari Bar) if you don't have more time, to enjoy some walk, excellent food in small local restaurants and see old olive tree (Stara Maslina) which is among oldest olive trees in the whole world (1000 years old)."
