"The Gallery of Horyuji Treasures is part of the Tokyo National Museum complex, and houses over 300 cultural artifacts donated by Horyuji Temple; one of Japan's oldest and most significant Buddhist temples. The collection includes Buddhist sculptures, paintings, and ceremonial objects, many of which date back to the 7th and 8th centuries! The building it self is also a beauty so worth heading here if you're visiting the main Tokyo National Museum building. – Neighbourhood Location: Ueno – Open: 9.30am - 5pm – Closed: Mondays Nearby Attractions: 1.
