"📍Tram Stop "Recouvrance" In front of the Castle and above the Arsenal, the Tour Tanguy (or Tanguy Tower) is a must-see landmark in Brest. Inside the tower, you get immersed into 6 centuries of the history of Brest, with realistic paintings and over 500 characters. To make the experience even more immersive, you can choose to do the tour with an audioguide in which a Brest resident shares all the secrets of the tower. As the city was mostly destroyed during the Second World War, I found it fascinating to see what life in Brest was like in the past centuries. Good to know: the entrance is free without a guide. "
"This is very close to Les Ateliers des Capucins and Rue Saint Malo, but we opted to spend more time at the Marine Museum instead of visiting the Tour. It looks really small and the view from the Telepherique is great (and much higher). But, if we had more time we would have done it anyway!"
