"Salvador Dali was a really cool surrealist painter & apparently there was a couple in St. Pete's that were huge Dali collectors, even when he was still creating work. This museum was started with their collection & took off from there.
It was really cool because I've seen most of Dali's most famous works, but this museum also has a lot of his other works that I've never seen before, and getting to see it up close was amazing. The detail he has in his paintings just doesn't translate in a photo of it in a textbook."
