"Brimmed with a typical Italian facade and full of produce stalls, antique shops, and indoor dining venues serving authentic cuisine. This market opened in 1897 alongside a new wave of European immigration and although updates have been made, the market still conserves its original structure. Iāve recommended it below as well, but for my favorite choripan in the city, be sure to visit āNuestra Parilla.ā
Sunday is the busiest day to visit, although the market is open everyday except Mondays. Many stalls are cash-only, so be sure to have some on hand."

"Continue your journey just two blocks over, and you'll stumble upon the San Telmo Marketāa bustling hub where vendors offer a vibrant array of fruits, vegetables, and artisanal crafts. Venture into the indoor market or wander over to the park just a block away, where more vendors set up shop. Don't miss the chance to peruse the diverse selection of mugs, perfect for sipping the traditional Argentine mate. "

"This market is on the newer side, in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. There are a ton of eating options here, including my personal favorite- Hierro Parrilla San Telmo- an asado restaurant. However, you can also buy veggies here, in addition to homemade empanadas, alfajores, pasta, and even antiques. It's definitely worth a stop, and a few meals. "
