What people say

"Yeosu is the stunning coastal gem of Jeollanamdo, where the land is surrounded by the sea, Suncheon, Suncheon Bay, and Namhae, making it a true peninsula paradise. With 317 islands, of which only 49 are inhabited, Yeosu is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. Don't let its seemingly small size fool you, this city covers an impressive 195 square miles (~500 square km)! Yeosu has a rich history dating back to 1897, when it merged with Dolsangun. And if that wasn't enough, in 1998 it underwent yet another merger, this time with Yeochon city and county. But enough about history, let's talk about what really matters: the food. Yeosu is known for its mouth-watering dishes, such as ganjang gejang (soy sauce marinated crab) and Korean sashimi, which will leave you craving for more. So come on down to Yeosu, where the sea meets the land, and indulge in the delicious cuisine that this city has to offer 🎒 (Kinda) day-trip-friendly from Gwangju or Busan but I’d recommend you to stay overnight here as the coastal views at night & sunrise here are amazing ✨ I’d also recommend you to visit Suncheon while you're here."
