This is a full 2-week road trip up the California Coast, starting from the warm shores of San Diego and ending with the towering redwoods of Humboldt. Some of the days are optional extensions that can be cut if you only have a shorter time.

Santa Monica Pier

Nothing but great memories there. I spent a great amount of time there, going to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, walking around the neighborhood with friends and going to the beach. One thing I really like about it if you do not drive like myself is the fact that you can take public transportation. There is a bus that takes you straight to DTLA ( down town Los Angeles). This is the place to be if you want all the amenities that come with city life minus the hussle and noise of Los Angeles. Also there are some celebrities that live in the area so who knows, you might run into one while out and about. 🙃😉

Lots and lots of people and it's no wonder why, there's a bunch of rides and restaurants at the end of a pier, from which you have beautiful views of the Santa Monica mountains, Santa Monica proper and the long stretch of beach down to Venice. 

You gotta do it. It's also where the end of Route 66 is, so don't miss out on the opportunity to snap a front in front of the famous sign! 

If you're into arcade games, head to the area where the rides are!

At the conclusion of the iconic Route 66 lies the Santa Monica Pier, where the road meets the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. The boardwalk is lined with a colorful array of concession stands, amusement rides, and inviting spots for fishing.

Known for its iconic pier and iconic beach. With its relaxed atmosphere and unmatched energy, it is perfect to escape the city center for a while and have fun.

The Santa Monica Pier is only a short walk from the beach. If you're spending the day at the beach, this is a great spot to pick up a souvenir and have lunch.

The Santa Monica Pier is an iconic landmark on the California coast. With its colorful Ferris wheel, lively atmosphere, and stunning ocean views.

Explore the Pier and Pacific Park. There are some fun rides, games to play and places to eat or enjoy a drink. 

I suggest parking up on the street not near the beach (1555 Second St, Santa Monica, CA 90401
United States).

Their famous pier contains a small amusement park, concession stands, and areas for views and fishing

I recommended venturing onto SaMo’s Main street for something other than pier food.
