"Hike: There are two routes that descend into the gorge. One is approximately one mile and the other is approximately 1.5 miles. Both routes are steep with uneven terrain and have significant elevation drops. Very doable and worth it for the falls. It takes about 45 mins.
Cummins Falls, is a 75-foot waterfall, which is located on the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River. You can swim here too.
Note: Gorge Access Permits $6 are required to access the gorge or the base of the falls and can be purchased online only on the Cummins Falls page of the Tennessee State Parks website. "
